Master Jim Beasley, 5th Dan

Master Beasley began training in Tang Soo Do Taekwondo in 1996, and currently holds a 5th Degree Black Belt. Master Beasley is also a certified Tai Chi instructor and provides instruction in Yang Style Short Form.

Summary of Achievements

  • March 1997 – Began study of Tae Kwon Do at the Gilpin County Recreation Center under Thomas Feagans, 1st degree black belt, Tae Kwon Do/Tung Soo Do.
  • June 1998-Competed in the Mountain Academy of Martial Arts Tri-Mountain Tournament in Central City at the Gilpin County Recreation Center. In which I placed first in the forms competition and second in the sparring competition.
  • December 2000 – Tested and passed 1st degree black belt, Tae Kwon Do/Tung Soo Do, consisting of a two-day physical test under the direction of Master John W. Rankin 6th degree black belt.
  • December 2000-Began teaching children’s and adult classes at the Gilpin County Recreation Center, under the direction of Thomas Feagans, 2nd degree black belt.
  • Spring 2003- Was a judge at the Mountain Academy of Martial Arts Tri-Mountain Tournament.
  • July 2004- Helped judge the Mountain Academy of Martial Arts Tri-Mountain Tournament.
  • May 2014: Approved by Moo Duk Kwan Association for rank of 4th degree in Tae Kwon Do/Tung So Do.
  • June 2019: Approved by Moo Duk Kwan Association for rank of 5th degree in Tae Kwon Do/Tung So Do.
